Rarest Classic Nintendo NES Game of All Time

Which Classic Nintendo Game do you think is the RAREST of all time? No it is not that copy of ‘WHOMP EM’ that you have in your collection that none of your friends heard of when they came over to game with you.

There are MANY rare Classic Nintendo games, but THE rarest Classic Nintendo game of all time would have to be a game called STADIUM EVENTS

What is the value of STADIUM EVENTS? — $40,000 US Dollars. That’s right, for the same price of a down-payment of a House, goes this one, little grey cartridge.

Is the game awesome? Not hardly, it’s pretty mediocre and wouldn’t even be on a top 200 of all time. What gives STADIUM EVENTS it’s HUGE pricetag is this game was released in a limited number of stores way back in 1987 (remember that year?)

Stadium Events is considered the RAREST licensed classic Nintendo Game of all time — Only an estimated 200 copies are in existance.

Obviously a Serious Nintendo collector who wants a truly COMPLETE classic Nintendo NES collection (and also happens to be a millionaire) would understand there’s only 200 copies of this holy grail and would lay out that time of money.

To be honest, if I had a few million in the bank, maybe I’d lay out that type of money for Stadium Events, not purely for nostalgic value and to impress the chicks (haha), but I’d assume it’s also a wise investment.

The value of NES games (on sites like eBay and Amazon) tend to fluxuate, prices go up and down. But a game with only 200 copies known to existance is only going to increase in value in my opinion.

They better just hope some guy in an abandon factory somewhere finds a few unopen cases of this game and starts throwing them on eBay — that’d be a quick way to lose $20,000.

SO GO RUN search your collection and check the next yardsale down your block and maybe, just maybe you’d be the lucky one to land yourself a shiny old copy of Stadium Events that you can enjoy at your next NES gaming party.

Sorry bud, but your incorrect. Rarest game NES game ever is Nintendo World Championships. Reason why you don’t see them on eBay or up for auction, they’re EXTREMELY rare. There are less than 30 copies, around 25 or so grey carts and 4-5 gold carts. The only way to obtain a copy was to be a finalist at the Nintendo World Championship back around 1988-89. The finalists were given grey carts, but the gold carts are another story. The gold carts were given out through a special giveaway in Nintendo Power. Only around 4-5 carts were given out. This carts were never for sale. There is a retail copy that comes in a black cart, but these are actually clones and are not legit copies. The only people I’ve seen to own copies of the game is James Rolf (Angry Video Game Nerd) and Pat the NES Punk. Both own a grey cart and I believe James owns the legendary gold cart as well. So there you have it.

Sorry, got my numbers mixed up. There’s actually around 60-70 copies at the most, with a little over 25 of the gold carts. However, the number I gave out earlier is probably a more accurate number of how many are left, as most copies are considered lost.
